About the Consultant
Amy Ruane, M.S., Ed.S., is a Relationship Development Intervention (RDI®) Program Consultant-in-Training in private practice who specializes in educating, treating, and training families, children, adolescents and adults on the Autism Spectrum and other individuals who work with them. She provides office, home, community, and school-based consultation and training. In 2008, Amy won the Professional Disability Advocate of the Year Award from the Disability Action Center and the Idaho School Psychologist Association Distinguished Service Award.
Amy is an accomplished School Psychologist and Consultant with over 9 years experience providing direct services to individuals on the autism spectrum and related disorders and consultation and training to parents, educators, and private practitioners. She is a respected presenter and currently provides consultation services to several school districts throughout the Pacific Northwest. Amy specializes in program development for children on the Autism Spectrum, professional training in the areas of Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disabilities, and Moderate and Severe Learning needs. She also conducts training for school and agency staff and designs training based on staff needs.
